21 week update

So this week i got bigger! It's starting to get difficult getting out of bed. And it def makes me a lot slower at doing everyday things.  But on the plus side of that, Olivia is moving like crazy! Holy cow the other day i was laying down and i felt these really strong kicks or punches lol it was so crazy! Her movements are becoming a bit more consistant I feel her a lot during the mornings and when we are getting ready for bed.  Also this weekend Justin got to feel her move, it was nice having him feel her too!

` We also bought her two little bodysuits from the gap and they are super adorable! Justin also finished painting her room its a pretty lavender, and we got a few more decoration pieces for the nursery

.
So this week I have been a bit more energetic than last, but I still feel tired a lot! My headaches are a bit better and I get dizzy if i don't take my naps. As far as morning sickness its still pretty bad and it really is only in the mornings for me thank God.  I don't really have cravings this week besides ice chips and super cold water, but I finally got that pregnancy appetite that a lot of women talk about lol I totally indulged in whatever I wanted this weekend. whooops lol! I am def stopping that lol I have only gained two pounds since I got pregnant and I plan on not gaining too much weight. So going back to eating healthy this week.

5 month update

So we are finally half way done! It still all feels so unreal, it seems like just yesterday Justin and I met and now here we are 6 years later, married and about to have a little girl! I am so blessed to have this wonderful life. I wouldn't trade my life for anyone's!
But let me tell u that it didn't come easy we worked hard to get where we are now a lot of struggles have happened along the way. I think our biggest obstacle  for the past two years has been   my anxiety I don't really talk about with a lot of people because it's really personal and def a very difficult thing in my life. it has become life consuming sometimes I even have a hard time leaving our house it gets so bad, but I am starting therapy soon again and praying that it will help. I hope you guys will pray for me because I def  need prayers.
So my symptoms lately have been some nausea again meh, Also for the past three days I get super dizzy out of nowhere, and I get headaches when I wake up in the morning I am thinking its from bella waking us up three to four times in the middle of the night shes driving me insane, if anyone has tips on how to get her to settle down at night please do share! As far as cravings this week pretty much pasta all the time, I've been craving piada like no ones business, and chicken and waffles from kitchen little at the north market in columbus, avocado rolls, mashes potatoes, fruit, cheese, my mom's food, and all seafood.

its a .....

So we went to our ultrasound and they had us wait for 15 minutes before we got into our room which seemed liked hours! Luckily I had Justin and our grammy with us! We finally got into our room and the ultrasound starts and it was so amazing seeing how much our little one had grown. We were all eager to find out but the ultrasound tech said she couldn't tell what it was because the baby was in a position where she wasn't able to look at that area lol. So she walked out and and we were bummed out and grammy decided to say a little prayer before the doctor came in to take another look.
So here comes the doctor and in less than five minutes he asks what our preference was and I answered it didn't matter but that I thought it was a girl and everyone thought it was a boy. And as he walked out to leave he said " well a mothers intuition is always right" and at that moment it didn't process what he had said and I had to ask " so its a girl?" to make sure that's what he was telling me and as he was walking out the door he smiled and answered with a "yup" at that moment I began to cry I couldn't believe we were having a daughter! It was honestly one of the most amazing moments of my life every worry and every problem in my life seem so far away. Our little Olivia Dehlila Rogers is such an amazing miracle and we love her so much already! We can't wait to see her in five months!

diy art!

So Justin and I went to Marshalls yesterday and we found some cute paintings for the nursery but they were pretty expensive and it looked like something we could do. So we decided to try painting our own art for the nursery. We headed to an art supply store to give it a try! We both have never drawn things but I think for our first time we didn't to do shabby, I would totally recommend doing something like this. It's so fun and you get super creative and who knows maybe it'll turn into a hobby!

update!

We are 18 weeks now. Hooray for no more nausea (except for the occasional day). I am finally able to eat as well. I still have food aversions that i have trouble even talking about. I can't stand peas, fried rice, broccoli, cooked carrots, lunch meat, and hot dogs! My cravings are pasta, fruit, tomatoes, shrimp, cereal, and salads. I still have not gained weight and I am actually still losing weight which makes sense, since I eat so much healthier than before I was pregnant.

I just started showing at the beginning of week 17. I LOVE it because seeing the belly just makes it so real that theres a baby growing inside me. I love feeling the little flutters. It is amazing! The down side to my belly growing is I now have horrible back pain and round ligament (hip) pain. I am hoping to get a massage soon to help with my back pain.

We had our first ultrasound at week 12 and it was so amazing seeing our little bundle of joy for
the first time. The baby kept doing flips and kicking. I didn't think i would cry but it was so amazing I couldn't hold in the tears.  We had a hard time getting a good ultrasound picture because the baby kept moving but luckily our doctor was patient and waited until they were able to get one.

We finally started buying things for the nursery! One of the funnest things during the pregnancy so far. We bought the crib and a rug. As soon as we find out the sex we are going on a shopping spree for baby clothing and more things for the nursery that night. Justin has been super involved in figuring out how we want to decorate the nursery and he had so much fun putting the crib together which is good because I am so bad at following directions. Haha.

My lows during the pregnancy have been pulling muscles in my chest which hurt so bad, but I am finally starting to feel better. I have had an annoying cough for a month which made me pull the muscles, but luckily its starting to heal. I have been struggling with anxiety since we moved to Ohio, and it seemed to go away when we moved to Dayton but it has come back again in the last few weeks so I'm trying to keep relaxed and keeping busy to keep it under control, but would really appreciate prayers because its something that is really tough especially while pregnant.

Overall I am super happy and excited! Justin and I have gotten so much closer and he has been so amazing through it all. I am one lucky lady! We find out the sex on March 13 so stay tuned on the blog because this is where we will announce the sex as well as the name!
